babyblack clothes not only look good and feel lovely, there’s also a positive story behind their production.

They’re made from Organic Cotton, grown and produced in India by Zameen, a pioneering company that trains its farmers to produce great cotton sustainably and safely.  The crops are planted to coincide with the Indian monsoon season, eliminating the need for hugely wasteful irrigation.

Zameen ensures that the farmers get a fairer slice of the profit-pie and will help them to become majority shareholders.

The garments are manufactured by Zameen’s partner, Textile Station, a company that believes in ethical trading and working practices.  This manufacturer actively supports fair trade, fair wages and fair working conditions for all employees, and also provides non-wage initiatives like subsidised transport and meals.
